Samuel Eto’o’s Car Collection: Luxury, Speed, and Exclusivity on Four Wheels

Of course, from a football legend such as Samuel Eto’o, whose name alone linked with his impeccable skill on the draw along with her taste on luxury cars, many have anticipated that he will at some point buy one of the luxuries in the world. With a stint at successful clubs such as Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea as a footballer it goes without saying that Eto’o is a man who has made a lot of money and consequently most of his wealth is shown through his fleet of beautiful looking cars. Speed, luxury and exclusivity mark him out: He has rare, high performance vehicles, on display at his garage.

In a new Coastal Motor Advisory post, we’ll have a look at the cars in Samuel Eto’o’s fleet; the stunning machines and why it can be a good fit for a football legend. Prices are posted in Australian dollars (AUD).

Aston Martin One 77- $2.8M AUD

Samuel Eto’os collection has the ultra rare Aston Martin One 77. It already has the name to suggest this was a masterpiece, and of the 77 units that were made, this is one of the most exclusive cars around. The One-77 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 7.3 liter V12 engine pumping out 750 horse powers that can also hit a top speed of 355 km/h (220 mph).

For one, its one of the most visually striking cars to ever hit the planet, thanks in large part to its barely there carbon fiber body with aerodynamic curves. His other car, the Aston Martin One-77, which he bought for a paltry $2.8 million AUD, is just more proof of his love for rare and high performance.

Bugatti Veyron – $3.1M AUD

It’s next to nothing, but when it comes to the speed, the Eto’o owned Bugatti Veyron is next to nothing. Since becoming notorious as one of the quickest production cars ever, the Veyron has been powered by an 8.0 litre W16 quad turbocharged engine producing 1,200 horsepower. From 0 to 100 km/h, it takes 2.5 seconds, top speed is 407 km/h (253 mph).

One of the more expensive productions, valued at just under $3.1 million AUD, the Bugatti Veyron is no ordinary vehicle, and it wasn’t just the built in GPS that ticked the boxes for Eto’o, it was the cross between speed and luxury that the engineers beat to help perfect the machine.

Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano -$500K AUD

Eto’o’s other beautiful car is the Ferrari racing heritage grand tourer epitomized by the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. According to the Rowan Atkinson of Driving, this beast is rumored to use up a top a 6.0-liter V12 engine that makes 612 hp and can reach up to a 330 km/h (205 mph) speed. The Ferrari has the same kind of speed and performance you have come to expect from the carmaker and with a 0 100 km/h time of only 3.7 seconds you shouldn’t go changing your socks.

This model has an aggressive, yet elegant design and you can’t ignore why Eto’o would like to add this to his already amazing array of cars. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is a must have for speed enthusiasts and the car goes for about $500,000 AUD.

Maybach Xenatec coupe – $1.6M AUD

If it’s the Maybach Xenatec Coupe, the luxury just dials up. This is a rare gem in coupe form — a handful of them have ever been built, based on the Maybach 57S. Priced at over $1.6 million AUD, the Xenatec Coupe offers the best of both worlds: Rear wheel drive sport coupe with the sleek body profile of a premium coupe but with the refined and spacious interior of a luxury limousine.

With a V12 engine putting out 603 horsepower under the hood, it has the look to go with it and the ability to back that up without ever missing. Stripped of its superfluous 50 percent, the Maybach Xenatec Coupe is still a rarity by any measure that is rare, powerful and luxurious so it fits this footballer bill beautifully.

      Wraith Rolls–Royce- $950K AUD

Of course in any celebrity car collection you need a Rolls Royce, but this one is a trail blazer in itself. The most powerful Rolls‑Royce ever, the Wraith is powered by a 6.6‑liter twin turbo V12, producing 624 horsepower. It has 4.4 second 0-100km/h power and sophistication.

If you have the need for some smooth, stylish rides of your own, willing to splash down $950,000 AUD and can stretch within the Rolls-Royce Wraith’s plush interior with handcrafted details and luxurious materials, this will likely be the ride of your choice.

Range Rover Autobiography – $380K AUD

And it’s a very useful car, it’s very practical and it’s got a lot of luxury, but at the same time. The Autobiography is famed for its ability to go off road and its luxurious interior; a 5.0 – liter supercharged V8 engine delivers 557 horsepower. The Range Rover Autobiography takes Eto’o from a city’s busy streets to the countryside, putting him at home on the road.

Bloomberg reports the luxury SUV has an interior big enough for six people, with the latest technology and an imposing presence, making it a favourite of celebrities for a good reason, Eto’o adding it to his already impressive lineup for around $380,000 AUD.

Porsche Carrera GT – $1.2M AUD

Eto’o’s other car was the Porsche Carrera GT: a mid engine supercar now retroactively widely regarded as one of the best Porsches ever made. The Carrera GT drives with a 5.7 liter V10 engine that produces 603 horsepower and can go to 205 mph (330 km/h). With blistering speed and handling the Carrera GT manages a 0–100 km/h time of just 3.9 seconds.

Expensive is an expensive word for something as exclusive as the Carrera GT, which was valued over $1.2m AUD (in the US), it’s no wonder Asif Ali Eto’o inked the beauty into his collection.

          Conclusion

Samuel Eto’o’s off field and the legendary football status can be attested with his car collection. Included among Eto’o’s garage are ultra rare supercars like the Aston Martin One-77 and Bugatti Veyron, as well as luxurious cars like the Rolls Royce Wraith and the Range Rover Autobiography. It speaks through the collection of his love of speed, luxury and exclusivity and qualities that he has built a thriving football career on.
